Himalaya Motocorp, the authorized distributor of Maxus vehicles in Nepal, has reported 44 bookings for the Maxus eTerron electric pickup during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
Of the total bookings, 36 were for the Comfort variant, while eight were for the Premium variant. The bookings come around three weeks after the company introduced the eTerron Comfort in the Nepali market.
The eTerron Comfort was introduced at Rs 88 lakh, while the Premium variant was priced at Rs 1.28 crore. During the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo, the company offered a Rs 2 lakh discount on the Comfort and Rs 5 lakh discount on the Premium.
The discounts were initially announced as an expo-specific offer. However, following requests from customers to continue the scheme after the event, Himalaya Motocorp has extended the offer until Bhadra 15. Customers can book the vehicle at the Maxus showroom in Hattisar, Kathmandu.
The Maxus eTerron is an electric pickup positioned for both private and commercial use. The model has attracted interest from buyers looking for an electric vehicle in the pickup segment, including customers involved in construction and hydropower projects as well as those using vehicles on unpaved roads.
The eTerron is manufactured by Maxus, a commercial vehicle brand under SAIC Motor of China. Himalaya Motocorp has also stated that it will provide spare parts and servicing facilities for the model as part of its after-sales support in Nepal.
The 44 bookings recorded at the mobility expo provide an early indication of customer interest in the electric pickup segment in Nepal, following the model's recent market introduction.
